Dim Sum Means Happiness on a Plate
Posted by Super Admin on Friday, September 25th, 2009 at 9:37am.The literal definition of Dim Sum is "A bit of heart". Dim sum is a variety of foods all served in small quantities. The best part is that it is already prepared for you. It rides around on carts just waiting for you to select it and you pay by the plate or dish that you order.
If you have never had it, it is a must try. It is usually served from 11-3 at most places. We have tried many around Orlando and have not found any better than Chan's Chinese Restaurant at 1901 East Colonial Drive.
If you are an adventurous eater, there are many things you can try. From Fried and steamed dumplings to a rice soup with a 100 year old egg. (sounds gross but tastes like it was made yesterday!) There are many different shapes, sizes and flavors to choose from. The best part is that you can leave feeling full at about $40 for 2-3 people.
If you are looking for something new to do this weekend, check out Chan's Dim Sum. They are open everyday.
